Hi Chef Ann, As a food service director in NW Montana, I am outraged and disgusted by the Westland-Hallmark recall. I have cancelled all my beef commodity orders and I'm investigating local suppliers for beef. The challenge is paying for it, of-course, but there is plenty of naturally raised, humanely slaughtered beef to be purchased in our area. Gratefully, there has been much publicity about the recall, peaking public awareness. I have personally been interviewed by several newspapers and NPR! Thanks for leading the charge, I apreciate your considerable efforts to expose injustise in the national school lunch program. It is the good fight.
